Elemental Herbology Cell Food

Doesn't this packaging look wonderfully space-y?

I was sent the Elemental Herbology Cell Food to try, and if the packaging didn't get me hooked, then the name certainly did!  This little potion is packed full of patents, proteins, anti-oxidents and vitamins, ideal for dull skin.  In all honesty, I'm a bit rubbish at really knowing my skin type.  All I know is, I get dry skin and from what I've heard this can also mean dull skin.  And no one wants that, right?

You apply this morning and night; before moisturising in the morning, and after cleansing in the evening.  It says to use a few drops in upward motions from the décolleté to the face but, sadly, that's too difficult for me....I'm just not co-ordinated enough!  I settle for massaging it in, but I do find that "a few drops" doesn't seem to go as far as they would suggest.  Obtaining a few drops is also easier said than done, as the pipette isn't so good at sucking up an adequate amount.

As you can see, it's a thick off-white solution.  It's not thick in the sense that's it's gloopy and lumpy, but it's certainly not runny.  It also smells....zingy?  It's hard to put my finger on it, but it smells like something I've had before.

After applying, my skin feels tacky.  Not sticky and horrible, but it definitely takes a few minutes to sink in.  After a while, my skin was left feeling smooth, although I could still feel the Cell Food underneath.  Touching my face now, it feels really soft, hydrated and plumped up.

As with all skincare, it takes a while to see real results.  But for the time being, I have been noticing that my skin is in much better condition recently.  I managed to get out of *that* time of the month's hormonal spot-fest unscathed (i.e. no spots!!), which I'm putting down to a combination of this and my new cleanser.

This stuff's a bit pricier than I'd like, but if the results are clearer, softer skin then I'm seriously tempted to invest!

  1. It does sound like it does a great job, and I love the packaging, I think the price is a bit much though :/ x

    1. Yes I agree. Skincare can be so expensive! x
