Interior Details: eBay homeware

11.9.13

My homeware wishlists can run pretty expensive.  No, I don't have endless supplies of money (but I think you gathered that already); just something about the fact that I'm pretty unlikely to ever buy any of this stuff (clothes, shoes and make up always take priority when shopping) means I don't actually pay any attention to the prices.  But it's always fun to look right?!

Take that bread bin, which I'm betting half of you didn't even realise was a bread bin.  We've got an aubergine-y colour wall in the kitchen and have managed to collect a few purple bits to tie in, but this bread bin has really caught my eye.  Shame it's a whopping £63.99!  Can anyone enlighten me as to who this Wesco brand is and why they're so expensive??

I love the idea of having an old-fashioned coat/umbrella rack, but I doubt it'd be practical in our hall way where Dudley, with his love of coat buttons, spends a lot of his time.  That poster would go nicely in a frame on the wall by the stairs though.

I recently invested in my first big Yankee Candle jar, and the clean fresh scent of Soft Blanket is definitely next on my list.  It'd be perfect burning on my desk, which I'd be able to keep nice and tidy with that organiser unit!  Those pens are my favourite to write with as well, and I think that leather journal would make the perfect addition to my notebook collection....

Does anyone else make ridiculously expensive homeware wishlists that they have no intention of buying?!

    1. It's too cute. And I agree, I have nowhere near the budget for this! Well, perhaps I would if I stopped buying everything else that took my fancy! x

  6. This mint journal, oh my! So lovely. Soft blanket is one of my favourite, it's not overpowering like some of the other Yankee candles x

    1. I got my first big Yankee Candle from there last month...I think this could be the start of an expensive habit! It was cheaper than buying from a shop, but still not the cheapest candle I own x

  9. I always make lists like this! Constantly on the lookout to get things more homely. My new product is to somehow fit a small desk in the spare room so I can have a blogging area! Sitting on the sofa blogging takes its toll sometimes!

    1. I agree! If my laptop hadn't needed to be plugged into the wall to work I think I'd still be sat at the sofa blogging...good luck with your project, would love to see the results! x

  10. Yankee candles are my weakness at this time of year, though I always tend to be drawn to the foodie scents. I have a 'fresh towels' one that is fine, but whenever I see it, and then see my 'vanilla cupcake' or 'salted caramel' options nearby, the poor thing doesn't even get a look in x
