Elemental Herbology Watermelon & Cucumber Body Moisturiser

I'm going to start by putting it all out there.  I got sent this Elemental Herbology Watermelon & Cucumber Body Moisturiser, and although it didn't rock my world I don't believe in only writing about/featuring things that I really like.  It's just not a well-rounded view.  I'll never forget when I bought Benefit's Hello Flawless liquid foundation after reading wave upon wave of glowing review, only to be really disappointed.  I don't hate this moisturiser, but I think it's only fair that readers (and potential purchasers) see both sides of the story.  There's nothing particularly wrong with this product by any means, it's just not to my taste.

My taste, as I'm sure lots of you will know, is sickly sweet.  Anything that smells like it could be eaten and I'm down with it.  This however smells borderline unisex.  Ed used it and it didn't smell odd.  Nothing wrong with that (he'll be using this bottle up!), I just prefer smelling of cakes and nuts.  Coconuts and brazil nuts for the record...

It's cooling and refreshing though...probably a good one for summer.  It's also a really light moisturiser (I'd say more like a lotion) which again, means it'll be great in hotter months when you don't want to feel all sticky.

You also get a pump which I like, because it reduces mess and helps to use less.  Which is a good thing when you consider this is £21 a bottle.  £21!!!  Call me stingy, but that just seems a lot for 240ml of product.  Each to their own though!

Has anyone else tried this?

  3. The packaging looks super lovely but I agree, it seems a little much for a body moisturiser - maybe I'm stingy too? hehe!
