Acclaimed: Topshop Glow

17.2.14

You may or may not know, but I'm quite the highlighter geek.  It's become one of my favourite make up items to shop for, and I'm always on the look out for the next big thing to give me that perfect chiselled glow.

Topshop's (aptly named) Glow has shot right to the top of my list.  I've had this in the shade Gleam for a few months now, and picked it up when cream highlighters were my thang.  It's a gorgeous golden shade which comes out more of a warm champagne colour on the skin despite looking very gold in the pot.

The one hazard with this product is in the application.  I smudge my finger in the pot (technical term there) and then dab it on to the tops of my cheeks.  I then roll my finger along to blend, although perhaps I'm not very good at it.  A look in another mirror often shows me a not-so-subtle line across my face.  I'm sure it's just me though, because I've been swatching the other shade in this range and it rubs in perfectly.  So from now on, I'll be rubbing in a lot more vigorously!

And yes, you've read right.  I'm eyeing up the other shade.  It's called Polish and is more of a pearlescent, pinky shimmer.  £9 for a fantastic highlighter, it'd be rude not to!

  1. Beautiful golden shade, I tend to forget using highlighter so I'd love to try this and see what difference it makes to my skin :o) Xx

  3. Wow that looks so bright! I've been really into highlighters recently and using a strong contour and highlight and then leaving out blush. Might have to look into these Topshop ones! xxx
