First impressions: Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturising Lotion with Cooling Menthol

12.5.14

I've waxed lyrical about my love for Aveeno many times before, so when I heard there was a new moisturiser added to their range, I had to give it a try.  This time it's a menthol version; the same Aveeno oatmealy goodness principles, but this time with the added bonus of a cooling properties for dry, itchy skin.

Brace yourselves, we're possibly about to enter TMI territory here.

Most nights I wake up with insanely hot feet.  They feel like they're throbbing (gross), the veins swell up (grosser) and no amount of hanging them over the edge of the bed can get me back to sleep.  See, I warned you it was TMI.

Enter Aveeno!  It has a squeezy tube which means it's nice and easy to use in the middle of the night (sounds ridiculous, but the last cream I was using was in a bottle and was a pain to get out whilst half asleep!) and works a treat at cooling my skin.  It's got a nice menthol, almost peppermint, smell as well which calms me down too and helps send me back to sleep.

I'm looking forward to using this in the summer to see if it's as soothing across the body, but for the time being I've found a perfect use for this lotion for me.  I'm a longtime advocate of Aveeno and I'm happy to add this to my collection.  This tube was sent to me to review, but at £7.50 for a product that's going to last me ages I'd gladly fork out my own cash on this.
