Let me start this post with an apology. Have you noticed that I've been really rubbish with my YouTube channel lately? I had every intention of sitting down and filming an unboxing video for you this weekend but ended up painting the bathroom instead. Downside being that I can't cause any condensation for 24 hours after the last coat. And no one wants to see a messy, painty, unshowered me on their screens any time soon.
But on to the box itself. If you've watched my previous videos, you'll know that I get sent the Love Me Beauty box for free to review. I've never subscribed to a beauty box before but, honestly, this would be the one I'd get. It costs £10 + P&P, and each month you get a menu of products to choose from to guarantee you get the best box for you. And this month's box (menu 2, FYI) is a good'un!
Let's start with the Tea Pigs tea in 'Rooibos Creme Caramel'. I'm not a tea lover, but the promise of creme caramel-goodness may just convince me to give this a try. You get three sachets, so if I don't like this I'm sure Ed will enjoy them.
Next up is Raw Skincare natural lip balm in 'Ginger', a full size product. It's a good, waxy consistency but I hate the smell. My experience of ginger-scented products in the past have been really sweet and almost like fizzy cola bottles. This is nothing like this, with an almost masculine herby smell. I'm not sure I could stomach putting this on my lips, but I know there were other variations available in the other boxes!
I really love the GO Stationary pocket notebook set in 'Tulip Garden Teal' and think they'll be perfect for popping into my handbag to keep on the go. They're the ideal size with cute floral patterns on the fairly sturdy cardboard covers. I particularly love the contrasting colour binding down the edge, aren't they cute?
The Nail Girls nail polish in 'Nude Pink' is a really interesting shade. It's quite bright but also muted at the same time and doesn't seem too 'Barbie Pink'. Gah, there was a time when Barbie Pink would have been all I'd gone for! I'm interested to give this a go when I'm having a pink moment....although I warn you, they're few and far between!
Finally there's a little trial pack from Suti, including Cleanse Balm, Purity Balm and Fabulous Foot Balm. I've never heard of Suti before, but like the inclusion of a little pamphlet from the brand. Apparently they're an organic brand based on holistic principles and energy healing...sounds good! The Purity Balm has piqued my interest the most; advertised as "a soothing restorative balm that cocoons the skin with pure and potent botanicals". I'll have to keep this in my handbag for skincare emergencies!
And that's this month's box! Tell me, are you subscribed to any beauty boxes? What do you think of the goodies I received? Don't forget to subscribe to Love Me Beauty here!
