double-strand necklace // earrings // pendant // ring // bangle // disc necklace // bar necklace // charm bracelets
If you spotted this photo the other day it'll come as no surprise to you that I've got an obsession with all things golden. I bought this necklace from H&M and it was basically my ideal. But after having to return and exchange it three times (THREE!!) I've had to accept that it's just not meant to be. So I've gone back to the drawing board and spent an obscene amount of time trawling the internet to get an idea of what I want.
I've got a Monica Vinader discount code burning a virtual hole in my pocket, so I'll be buying a few quality staple pieces from there. I think I'll ask for the wide ring for my birthday and will purchase the disc necklace soon. It can be engraved, so I'm debating whether or not to go for that as well.
I want to build up a layered look and to stop things getting too pricey will be doing this with cheaper, highstreet pieces. The double-strand necklace is perfect, and the bar necklace will add another shape to the mix.
One thing I'm missing in my collection is gold bracelets. I've got multiple silver charm bracelets, but the only gold comes in the form of my Kate Spade bangles. I'm looking to rectify that with some really simple, thin chain bracelets. I haven't found exactly what I'm after just yet, but that coin bangle from River Island is a good starting point.
I've found looking for decent quality, minimalistic gold plated jewellery surprisingly hard to do! If you can recommend any designers along the same lines as Monica Vinader and Muru, then please do below. I'll probably love you forever!
