New In Accessories: Going For Gold

1.5.15

Remember my wishlist post a couple of weeks ago?  Gold has become my choice when it comes to accessories, and I'm building up quite the collection!  If you're looking to inject a bit of golden minimalism to your personal style, here are my tips on where to look.

H&M | H&M is *the* shop to visit if you want budget friendly jewellery.  And they've got that whole simplistic, dainty necklace thing down pat.  I bought both the long bar and linked circle necklaces you can see above from there, but unfortunately they're not available online.  At £2.99 each though, they definitely don't break the bank!  The earrings are a little more on the fussy side than I'm used to, but they're so simple yet striking in their design....they'll really make a statement with the right outfit.

Zara | Zara doesn't tend to be my pick when it comes to accessories.  I've seen other bloggers get some really nice pieces there, but I always the price range is slightly too high for high street jewellery.  I couldn't resist this collar necklace though; with its mixed metals and clean design, it's right up my street.  I may have to buy the matching bracelets next!

ASOS | ASOS featured in my wishlist post, and the first purchase I made after payday was for this double-strand necklace.  I also popped this bar necklace in my basket; ASOS do gold-plated pieces at really reasonsable prices.  It's slightly more yellow-toned than the other items....more of a gold vermeil colour, but actually it works really well mixed in with the others.

Monica Vinader | The Queen of gold jewellery has to be MV, right?  These rings (a Riva and Siren stacking rings) were Christmas presents but after going off to be resized, I've only just got them back.  They're staples in my everyday wardrobe and I can't wait to add more to my collection.

Are you a gold or a silver kinda gal?

  1. Love your choices!! River Island and New Look are also good for bargain gold pieces, they have some really nice dainty gold jewellery at the moment. My current obsession consists of gold ear cuffs and ear jackets, I can't get enough of them! xx

  3. I definitely agree that Zara's jewellery is quite steep! I stick to vintage shops or diy places :)
