The most important post I've ever written

...and no, I'm not over-exaggerating with that title!

Welcome to my re-named blog!  If all goes to plan, this will be showing up in your subscription feeds as usual.  If not...I've got some tweaking to do!  To be extra sure, please be aware/bookmark/follow my new blog address,

I guess I should give you a little explanation as to the change.  And to put it simply, I feel like I've outgrown the name 'Scared Toast'.  My blog actually started out with a completely different name and I settled on 'Scared Toast' when I bought my url in a time when I wanted to remain pretty much anonymous.  It was a (relatively) neutral blog name and harks back to a time when I was reluctant to show my face.  Fast forward a few years and I've become much less shy and would actually like my blog to reflect me a little more.

So here we are with Lorna, Literally.  It's fairly self-explanatory, and I'm looking forward to investing time over the summer creating fresh new content.  I've lost my way a couple of times throughout my blogging journey; following trends, writing in a way that wasn't true to myself and emulating popular bloggers' tyles, but this fresh start gives me the opportunity to strip things back and hopefully create a more journal-style space that I connect with again.

I hope this change isn't too problematic for you - let's face it, it's not like I'm a huge blogger trying to change brand names....I do still like to overthink things though!  I'm in the process of switching over email addresses and my YouTube account.  If you do come across any glitches, give me a tweet to let me know.  The links at the top of the page should all be working, and if you know of any recent links you've made to my blog please take a moment to update the url.

Onwards and upwards!

  1. It worked, the new post appeared in the bloglovin feed as usual. Good luck with your new name xx

  2. Love the new name, it took me a minute when it appeared in my feed and youtube box, but I love it - think it's a great change!
Also - whilst I remember, I love your book review videos, please keep doing them! It's really nice to have an adult voice on the youtube book scene, and not just entirely preteens and the like!
