Exciting news everyone....I've got a new job!! After 11 years working in education, I'm moving into something new and going back to law. It was law that I got my degree in but unfortunately never pursued as a career, so I can't wait to get stuck back in.
With a new job comes a new wardrobe, so when The Oracle invited Leanne and I to come down and experience their 'Your 5' personal shopping experience I knew I'd be keeping my eyes peeled for workwear choices. The concept was simple - a session with a personal stylist looking at the latest trends, focusing on five key pieces: the shirt, the cropped trouser, the sneaker, the jacket and the silk. I was shown the various curated items, with the stylist taking a picture of each piece once I'd picked my favourite before emailing me the five so I could hunt them down in the shops or order online later. A real life/virtual shopping hybrid, if you like!
Armed with our new trend-led insight, we hit the shops and I attempted to take what I'd learnt and apply it to my new, formal workwear requirements. The wishlist you see above is a mixture of things I've already bought alongside other bits I'd still like to add to my wardrobe. Here are the links if you'd like to shop the post:

As you can see, there's a definite colour palette here...muted pinks and soft greys, grounded by classic black. It's the first time I've ever had to wear anything other than my everyday wardrobe to work, and whilst I'm loving the excitement that challenge brings I'd definitely love some advice when it comes to dressing for an office environment.
