Week 21 In Moments

29.5.17

For the first time in what feels like ages I've had a fairly quiet week.  I started a new class at the gym, had a nice balance of week nights in vs. week nights out, and of course I've been getting to work planning and writing content for my new blog.

Having lots of social occasions scheduled in is nice, but there's nothing quite like being able to come home, take your make up off straight away and chill out on the sofa.

Kicking things off with the long weekend, my sister and I decided to take a trip to Windsor.  It's my venue of choice when I fancy a day out in beautiful scenery but don't want to run the risk of spending too much money; for some reason whenever I'm there I don't seem to splash the cash too much so never come home feeling guilty.

It was the first time this year that I've gone out with bare legs and it wasn't a total disaster!  I don't tend to like getting my legs out but this summer I want to wear dresses as often as I can, so I seized this opportunity to wear one and show some skin.  I also managed to document the day through my stories on my Instagram.

We rounded off our trip with ice cream overlooking the castle.  I've touched upon my relationship with food before, but at the beginning of the year if you'd told me I'd have been eating ice cream (and enjoying it!) I don't think I'd have believed you so this is a pretty big deal.  I ate it all, it was delicious and no doubt there will be more moments like this in the coming months. Here's to a healthier mindset and greater balance!

Without really realising, I think I've been in a bit of a reading slump over the past month or so.  This weekend I spent some time in bookshops exploring what's available and feel all fired up to read again.  For a period of time I was visiting Waterstones on a weekly basis and feeling underwhelmed with the choice but by having somewhat of a hiatus it meant the promotional books were all new to me and a joy to browse.

Now, how was your week?
